Retracing the Koga Incident: Cebu’s Uncelebrated Role in Ending the Pacific War

With September as the anniversary of the end of World War II in the Philippines, Casa Gorordo Museum will hold a CGMTalk entitled, “Re-tracing the Koga Incident” on September 27, 2021 at 2 p.m. 

Casa Gorordo Museum has invited Dr. Jose Eleazer Bersales director of University of San Carlos Museums and manager of USC Press in Cebu City and is a full professor at the USC Department of Anthropology, Sociology and History. An archaeologist and social historian, he has edited an co-authored a number of books including “the War in Cebu”., Dr. Bersales will discuss Cebu’s uncelebrated role in ending the Pacific war.

The CGM Talks is one of the many programs of the Culture & Heritage Unit of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. to promote culture and heritage. The talk will be streamed through the Casa Gorordo Museum Facebook page at www.facebook.com/casagorordomuseum at 2 P.M.
