Art as a Response: Talk to Focus on Local Arts in the time of COVID-19
With concerts, plays and even exhibits going digital, the arts have become a unifier and refuge to help deal with the stress and uncertainty brought by the pandemic. Many artists are resorting to social media to showcase their work. A growing number of people are also discovering their hidden talents, and are sharing their art online from singing and dancing to painting and poetry.
In celebration of National Arts Month, Casa Gorordo Museum has invited Fr. Jason Dy, SJ an instructor from the Fine Arts Department of Ateneo de Manila University, as resource speaker of a CGM Talk on February 22, 2 P.M. In the talk, Fr. Jason will discuss how the local art scene was affected by the pandemic, and how Filipino artists and creatives responded during these challenging times.
The CGM Talks is one of the many programs of the Culture & Heritage Unit of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. to promote culture and heritage. The talk will be streamed through the Casa Gorordo Museum Facebook page at www.facebook.com/casagorordomuseum on February 22, 2021 @ 2P.M.
