Dr. Erlinda Alburo holds CGM Talk about Local Heritage and its Importance.

In celebration of National Heritage Month, Casa Gorordo Museum (CGM) will hold an online talk entitled “Basics of Heritage: Understanding Heritage and its Importance” May 17, 2021 2pm to 3pm. It will be streamed through the CGM Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/casagorordomuseum.

Resource speaker Erlinda Alburo Ph.D., former director of the Cebuano Studies Center of the University of San Carlos, will discuss all three types of heritage and the need to conserve and protect them as part of local culture which gives us pride of place, identity and sustenance to social life. This month’s CGM Talk aims to educate the public especially the younger generation on heritage so that they would be able to appreciate and protect it.

CGM Talks is one of the many programs of the Culture and Heritage Unit of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. that promotes culture and heritage. The talk will be free for members of the media and the public.
